Current and future applications of species distribution and ecological niche modeling for the study of ticks and tick-borne pathogens

This study is based on a formal literature review of 158 publications from 1997 to May 2024, focused on ecological niche models (ENMs) and species distribution models (SDMs) applied to ticks and tick-borne pathogens (TBPs). All data analyzed are publicly available from the cited sources and compiled here for the purpose of the systematic literature review, the bibliometric and the scientometric analyses.
