POST-GRADUATION CAREER CHOICES: THE ROLE OF GENDER IN GHANAIAN UNDERGRADUATES' JOB PREFERENCES
Employee turnover and turnover intentions pose significant challenges to organizations, impacting them in various ways. While some level of turnover is inevitable and can even be beneficial, the departure of skilled and committed employees can be particularly disruptive and costly. This paper explores the effects of employee turnover on organizational performance, emphasizing the additional expenses associated with losing valuable staff members. According to Demagalhaes, Wilde, and Fitzgerald (2011), alignment between employees' values and organizational values is crucial for enhancing job satisfaction and reducing turnover rates. By examining how value congruence influences employee retention, this study provides insights into strategies that organizations can adopt to mitigate turnover and retain their most capable employees. The findings aim to offer practical recommendations for improving organizational stability and reducing the financial impact of turnover.
