Applied pedagogical research

The aim of our study is to highlight the types of applied educational research as correlated with innovative educational research approached as a domain of social activity with a central regulation/autoregulation function at all levels of the educational system and educational process. The derived specific objectives imply: a) an affirmation of educational research, based on fundamental educational concepts, as defined and analyzed by fundamental pedagogical sciences – general education theory, general teaching theory (general didactics), and general curriculum theory; b) defining the logical and epistemological relationship between fundamental educational research (historical and compared research; theoretical research) and applied pedagogical research (operational research, quantitative research, quality research; action-research).
