Recursive Phase-Locking in Theory Propagation_ How AI and Language Rewired Authority
CODES Framework Description: This paper introduces a novel framework for analyzing the evolution of intellectual authority in the age of generative AI. Using the CODES model (Chirality of Dynamic Emergent Systems), it argues that traditional epistemic hierarchies have been recursively destabilized by language models trained on probabilistic inference. The result is a distortion of theoretical propagation, where coherence is decoupled from credibility and semantic recursion is overwritten by stochastic language loops. The paper proposes “Recursive Phase-Locking” as a new metric for theory evolution—where emergence is governed by structural resonance rather than consensus or citation velocity. It critiques current academic, AI, and publishing systems for privileging surface-level imitation over phase-aligned innovation, and outlines a new path forward for intellectual transmission in the post-probabilistic era.
