Immuno-onco-genetics: where are we today?
Abstract Immuno-oncology has progressed and produced several pivotal insights for the enhancement ofimmunotherapy, including the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) and systemic immunity. Nonetheless, responses to immunotherapy can differ markedly across studies. The principal factor contributing to thislimitation is intratumoral heterogeneity, which is regulated by genetic factors. There is an increasing interest inassociating immune-related genes with systemic immune activity and TIME in the context of cancer. Theimmunogenetic landscape of cancer cells signifies a new comprehension, and immuno-oncogenetics functionsas an approach to clarifying this field. This article summarizes the updated paradigm and offersrecommendations for the future development of immuno-onco-genetics.Keywords: Immuno-onco-genetics, tumor immune microenvironment
