Impact of Training and its Role in Human Competency Development: A Case of Fertial Company, Arzew Branch, Oran State, Algeria

Abstract: As the global economy faces significant shifts and hurdles, nations are actively removing barriers that impede productivity and service delivery. This focus on growth and development across industries is driving a change in how governments and organizations view their workforce. The human element, once seen simply as labor, is now recognized as a wellspring of knowledge and innovation. To explore this further, we conducted a field study at the Arzew branch of Fertial Company in Oran Province, Algeria. We distributed a questionnaire with three key areas and 22 questions to 111 employees. By analyzing the data with statistical software, we aimed to investigate the role of training in improving worker competencies and fostering their development. Keywords: Training-Skills, Human Skills, Human Competency, Human Capital JEL Classification Number: J20-J24
