THE QUESTIONS OF STUDYING A BILINGUAL WRITER LANGUAGE CONSCIOUSNESS

Abstract This article deals with the formation of bilingual linguistic personality, the influence of bilingualism on artistic creativity. Bilingual consciousness develops a person's cognitive and communicative space; it develops meta-linguistic abilities, expands the boundaries of thinking and cognition, stimulates creativity, promotes the development of divergent thinking, develops meta-linguistic abilities, etc. Bilingualism is considered in the article as a dialog of consciousnesses, not languages, it is a dialog of worldviews within one linguistic personality, and artistic bilingualism is considered as a special kind of speech and thinking activity of a creative bilingual personality capable of acting freely within two language systems. In the case of a bilingual writer, the integration of linguistic pictures in consciousness, the transformation of existing linguistic knowledge together with creative free-thinking gives birth to something unique. The questions of the influence of bilingualism on creativity (the principle of the structure of speech-thought activity of creative bilingual consciousness, the formation of a new unique cultural and linguistic space, the creation of unique forms of speech, word creation, difficulties of auto-translation) are considered on the example of V. Nabokov's coordinative bilingualism.
