A Constructive Path Toward P = NP via Symbolic Resonance Collapse
We present a speculative but testable framework for addressing the P = NP prob- lem using a novel computational paradigm called symbolic resonance collapse. By encoding NP-complete problems within a prime-based Hilbert space and evolving sym- bolic states through clause-consistent resonance operators, we define a deterministic symbolic transformer T res that achieves convergence without search. We formalize the symbolic entropy landscape, introduce clause-local resonance operators, and demon- strate convergence on small-scale instances. We provide explicit generalizations of our approach to multiple NP-complete problems including Subset Sum, Hamiltonian Path, and Vertex Cover, demonstrating the versatility of the symbolic resonance paradigm. Furthermore, we develop a universal symbolic transformer framework applicable to any problem in NP, unifying these results through a general formalism based on verifier projections. Through both problem-specific applications and our universal framework, we establish a coherent foundation for a constructive approach to addressing the P=NP question.
