ÇOCUKLARDA HAYVAN SEVGİSİNİ GELİŞTİRMEYE YÖNELİK BİR ÖRNEK: UÇAN KEDİ
In addition to being an emotion that can be learned over time, love is an important emotion that positively nourishes the individual's soul, starting from childhood and becoming an adult. In order to explain this abstract feeling, children need to be directed to more concrete inferences according to their age group. Love for animals is a conceptually quite appropriate example of this concrete inference. The concept of love, which is one of the most important elements of values education, can be taught to children in different ways from an early age. One of the ways to do this is through children's books. When values education is examined in these books, it will be seen that love for animals is generally emphasized. The essence of this emphasis is based on the teaching that an individual's ability to love himself depends primarily on loving the living things around him. In the Flying Cat story book written by Zeki Taştan, we see that concepts such as family, compassion, love, as well as the love of animals are intensively discussed. Based on this example, we will try to examine how the love of animals is handled in the book in question.
