Gestión del diseño estructural de cubiertas ligeras ante fuertes vientos con enfoque de sistemas de ingeniería
In recent decades, the gradual reduction of vulnerability to extreme natural phenomena, especially hurricanes and tropical cyclones that affect Cuba and the Caribbean region, has been a priority in the development of construction projects. For design companies and design teams, the management of the design of safe and resistant buildings, using mathematical tools and simulation models, is of paramount importance. However, there are shortcomings in structural design management, especially for light roofs, considered one of the most vulnerable building elements. The objective of this research is to develop a procedure for the management of the structural design of light roofs, based on the foundations of engineering systems as an interdisciplinary approach, providing a robust base and coherent structure that allows reducing its vulnerability to strong winds. Likewise, an indicator is proposed to measure the level of vulnerability, as well as a computer tool for its evaluation in the design phase. The reliability and relevance of the proposed tool were also verified through Petri nets and expert criteria. The application in the National Agricultural Projects Company of the Municipality of Holguín, demonstrated its feasibility and convenient use as a methodological tool, allowing the reduction of the vulnerability index to strong winds of the light roof solution variants from the conceptual design stage, aspect that validates the research hypothesis.
