МІСІЯ ХРИСТИЯНКИ В ХХІ СТОЛІТТІ: БІБЛІЙНИЙ АСПЕКТ
The article provides a biblical, theological and historiosophical coverage of the conceptualisation of the role of the Christian woman as one of the driving forces of postmodern society. It is emphasised that the 21th century is a time of challenges and requests for the missionary potential of Christian women in everyday life in the European-Ukrainian space. Much attention is being paid to substantiating the modern theological positions of the Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Protestant Churches on the role of women in human history in the futuristic emphasis of the 21th century. The definition of the “women’s issue” of the modern era as the coexistence of a multivector platform of ideological attitudes – post-structuralism, multiculturalism, post-colonialism, and ecumenism as a movement for rapprochement with the unification of religion in connection with the Absolute – has been defined. The crisis of the family and marriage was mentioned as a reaction to global universalism and resistance to traditional relationships in the freedom for women to choose or be chosen. In general, it has become necessary to say that a Christian woman has to give answers to the questions that are already familiar to the Church about equality with men, status or the possibility of taking up the ministry. In addition, the women’s movement is becoming a positive basis for freeing Christian women from patriarchal stereotypes in terms of realising women not only as keepers of the home, but also as successful careerists, highly skilled workers, or partners at the workplace. The author highlights the available opportunities for women in theology in accordance with the position of the Apostle Paul: “There is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28), i.e., the Church of Christ, referring to the age-old tradition, gives a special mission to women, which Christ Himself entrusted to her: “go to my brothers and tell them” (John 20:17), which is a service in the messianic cause. The author justifies the thesis that the Christian Scriptures are a cross-cutting phenomenon of human history, the appeal to which provides not only answers to the topical issues of a particular era, but also contains divinely inspired instructions, the reception (perception) of which allows us to build the lost harmony of Eden in the roles and statuses of men and women of the third millennium, a quarter of which is already behind us.
