USING THE SOCRATIC METHOD IN TEACHING ORAL AND SPEECH COMPETENCE
The article discusses the possibilities of using the technology of teaching oral speech competence in Russian using the Socratic method. The analysis of scientific and methodological literature, which served as the theoretical basis for the study, allows the author to conclude that teaching speaking in Russian involves the use of a system of logically structured questions to which students must give reasoned answers within a set period of time. This method refers to problem-oriented learning, since it can be implemented both on the basis of textual material analysis and after watching video materials. Its use contributes to the assimilation of new speech material due to the targeted formation of questions and the search for answers to them. Thus, the use of the Socratic method in teaching Russian contributes to the formation of analytical and communicative skills in students, which has a positive effect on the development of their oral speech competence.
