ACCOUNTING FOR THE MASS OF A FLEXIBLE THREAD WHEN CALCULATING FOR THE EFFECT OF A BLAST WAVE

The calculation of a flexible thread for the action of a dynamic load is considered. The real system is considered as a system with one equivalent mass. The Lagrange equation of the second kind is used to solve the problem. This made it possible to take into account the mass of the flexible thread in the dynamic calculation. It is shown that under the action of a concentrated load, an increase in the span does not increase the stress in the flexible thread. Therefore, the use of flexible threads has an advantage over the use of beams.

Abstract

The calculation of a flexible thread for the action of a dynamic load is considered. The real system is considered as a system with one equivalent mass. The Lagrange equation of the second kind is used to solve the problem. This made it possible to take into account the mass of the flexible thread in the dynamic calculation. It is shown that under the action of a concentrated load, an increase in the span does not increase the stress in the flexible thread. Therefore, the use of flexible threads has an advantage over the use of beams.
