EJP Soil - EnergyLink: Report and data set on bulk soil microbial CUE
Crop diversification is a potentially attractive agricultural practice for enhancing organic C storage in soils. The aim of the EJP SOIL EnergyLink project is to understand the link between crop diversity and the processing of organic C by the soil microbiome across a pan-European pedo-climatic gradient. The central hypothesis is that greater crop diversity results in more efficient microbial use of C, thus enhancing the potential of soils to store C. This repository provides the data and report on the complete dataset of Task 5.2 (microbial carbon use efficiency - CUE) of the EnergyLink project. CUE has been measured in 8 experiments of crop diversification across Europe and can be analysed in several ways. Here, we shortly explain the concept, the methodology and finally present the dataset.
