LRU-BottomUp: A Caching Strategy with Hit Ratio Performance like LRU and Overhead like FIFO

We propose LRU-BottomUp as a new caching method, which simplifies the LRU implementation with less metadata overhead and faster cache updates. Nonetheless, the holding time of content in the cache is similar to LRU and the hit ratio performance of LRU-BottomUp is close to the LRU level.
