Early mobilization of ICU-admitted adult patients: Overview of systematic reviews
The aim of the thesis was to provide a comprehensive description and analysis of early mobilization interventions, compared to usual care, in adult ICU patients. We investigated the different treatments/interventions that were included in the systematic reviews and came up with an overall comparison of the outcomes in terms of patient health. The outcomes we focused on were related to the recovery and length of stay of patients in the ICU as well as in the hospital. At the same time, we compared the risk of death and muscle atrophy of patients based on the type of treatment they received. In addition, it was deemed necessary to capture the different environments that patients were in during the intervention they received.
