How to Responsibly Use AI to Develop More Competitive Grants

The human-centered use of AI has tremendous potential to better democratize the grant writing process. AI has the power to provide no (or low) cost grant writing aids to those of us without full-time grant writers at our beck and call, and help non-English preferred writers overcome language barriers that are detrimental to equity in science. Building on our recently published work, this handout will guide grant writers on how to effectively and responsibly use AI to strengthen grant applications.

Abstract

The human-centered use of AI has tremendous potential to better democratize the grant writing process. AI has the power to provide no (or low) cost grant writing aids to those of us without full-time grant writers at our beck and call, and help non-English preferred writers overcome language barriers that are detrimental to equity in science. Building on our recently published work, this handout will guide grant writers on how to effectively and responsibly use AI to strengthen grant applications.
