Pseudomonas putida ZW98
Genomic sequencing of Pseudomonas putida unlocks its potential as a powerful biocontrol agent against Fusarium wilt. By revealing its complete genetic blueprint, we identify key genes responsible for producing antifungal antibiotics, siderophores (iron scavengers), and inducing plant systemic resistance (ISR). This knowledge allows precise selection or engineering of superior P. putida strains optimized for plant colonization and targeted suppression of Fusarium pathogens. Ultimately, genomics enables the development of highly effective, reliable, and tailored microbial bio-pesticides or seed treatments, reducing crop losses and offering sustainable, chemical-free disease management for agriculture.
