A generation method of inter-provincial power support strategies based on ultra-short-term balance margin
With the construction of new-type power systems, large-scale integration of renewable energy sources and frequent extreme weather events pose significant challenges to power balance in power grids. Dispatchers need to accurately assess the risk of large-scale power grid imbalance in real time and utilize inter-provincial AC/DC systems for wide-area mutual power support to address these challenges. This paper proposes a generation method of inter-provincial power support strategies based on ultra-short-term balance margin. Firstly, it assesses power balance capability and risks through ultra-short-term power balance margin and power supply capacity indicators. Secondly, based on the balance margin, a generation method of inter-provincial power support strategies considering security constraints of AC/DC systems is proposed. Finally, case studies using actual grid operation data verify the method’s effectiveness and practicality. Practical applications show that dispatchers can use this method to accurately assess balance risks of large grids and rapidly generate inter-provincial power support strategies.
