Evolution of Antibiotic Resistance
Students will first introduce themselves and set up group norms. The first part of the activity will ask them to address their ideas about where antibiotic resistance comes from. This will be done through a Google form and question of the whole group. Next, students will engage with the activity through watching short videos and interpreting infographics together. These videos and infographics were chosen because they help tease apart some of the specific misconceptions. Finally, students will discuss their overall conclusions about where antibiotic resistance comes from (aka…it evolves!) and write their final thoughts on the slide. They will also answer the questions on the Google form with their updated understanding.
