THE ROLE OF HYDROGELS IN ENHANCING PROSTHODONTIC TREATMENT OUTCOMES: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

This project hosts the published version of a systematic review titled "The Role of Hydrogels in Enhancing Prosthodontic Treatment Outcomes". The review critically evaluates contemporary evidence on hydrogel-based scaffolds and materials in prosthodontics, with emphasis on their clinical performance, tissue regenerative potential, and advantages over conventional acrylic-based systems. Supporting materials such as search strategies, PRISMA diagram, and data extraction files may be included to promote transparency and reproducibility. This work contributes to the growing body of biomaterial research in oral rehabilitation and is intended to aid clinicians, researchers, and educators exploring novel soft tissue-friendly alternatives in prosthodontic care. KEYWORDS: Hydrogels; Prosthodontics; Denture base; Scaffold; Biomaterials; Tissue regeneration; Soft liner; Acrylic alternative; PRISMA; Systematic review
