Acute Effects of Anodal Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation on Total Training Volume in Resistance Exercises: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

This systematic review and meta-analysis will explore the effects of anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on training volume in resistance training (RT) exercises. Adhering to the PRISMA 2021 guidelines, the review will apply the PICOS framework to define eligibility criteria, focusing on healthy adults experienced in RT, randomized controlled trials comparing anodal tDCS with sham tDCS, and training volume as the primary outcome. Data will be extracted from major databases (e.g., PubMed, Scopus) and analyzed using advanced statistical methods. The findings will aim to provide evidence-based guidance for practitioners on integrating anodal tDCS to enhance exercise performance, particularly in increasing training volume.
