Quantity of Collaborative Practices Among Healthcare and Social Professionals in Austrian Primary Healthcare: A Cross-Sectional Study

This research project investigates the extent of interprofessional collaboration in Austrian primary healthcare through a quantitative cross-sectional study. It follows a previously completed qualitative study and contributes to the development of a teaching concept for the University of Applied Sciences. Healthcare professionals with patient contact in the past five years were invited to participate in an online survey between March and October 2023. Recruitment was carried out via social media, institutional websites, email, professional associations, and the national Primary Care Network newsletter. Participants were encouraged to share the survey within their networks. Eligible participants were adults currently working in primary care or closely related outpatient settings, such as general or pediatric practices. Participation required sufficient German language skills. Due to the open distribution method, the response rate could not be calculated. All responses were anonymized and ethically approved by the ethics committee of Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.
