Mapping Mortality Rates in Police Officers and Firefighters: A Scoping Review
This project consists of a scoping review aimed at identifying and mapping the main causes of mortality among police officers and firefighters, professionals exposed to high physical, emotional, and cognitive demands in high-risk environments. Based on the PRISMA-ScR methodology, the research will synthesize evidence from various national and international databases to understand factors linked to mortality in these workers, such as cardiovascular diseases, suicides, and violent deaths. The goal is to support preventive strategies and integrated health promotion initiatives, addressing physical, psychological, and social dimensions to ensure quality of life and functional longevity.
