Trail of Tears: North Korean Women Defectors’ Perceptions of Trauma

North Korean women defectors are exposed to many traumatic events before finally settling in South Korea, which often leads to mental health issues as well as adaptation problems. This study aims to conduct research on trauma from their own perspectives using Q-methodology. The study hopes to lay the foundation for future research in understanding and assessing the trauma of North Korean women defectors in order to provide more targeted help.
