Asexuality in Science Fiction: a resource guide
This is a guide to resources regarding asexuality in science fiction. Asexuality is a sexual orientation in which people experience little or no sexual attraction. Aromanticism, an orientation in which people experience little to no romantic attraction, is often included in resources discussing this, and as such some resources in this guide, especially the non-fiction ones, do. For this guide, I am defining science fiction as a genre of speculative fiction including concepts such as time travel, superheroes, teleportation, space exploration, aliens, and futuristic science, technology and cultures. It is related to genres such as horror and fantasy. The purpose of this guide is to signpost science fiction fans towards resources about asexuality in science fiction, including fiction, non-fiction, and the basics of asexuality itself.
