TELEPHONE-BASED EDUCATIONAL INTERVENTIONS TO PROMOTE BREASTFEEDING SELF-EFFICACY: A SCOPING REVIEW
Introduction: Self-efficacy is an essential predictor for breastfeeding success. Telephone-based interventions are low-cost strategies with the potential to support lactating mothers; however, a synthesis of the evidence on their effect on self-efficacy is lacking. Objective: To map the available evidence on telephone-based educational interventions (calls or messages) used to promote maternal breastfeeding self-efficacy. Methods: A scoping review will be conducted, following the JBI and PRISMA-ScR guidelines. The search will cover seven databases and the grey literature. Data selection and extraction will be carried out by two independent reviewers. The results will be presented through a narrative synthesis and in tables.
