Protocolo de revisão de escopo: consulta de enfermagem na saúde sexual da mulher
This project aims to register the protocol of a scoping review focused on the nursing consultation in women’s sexual health within primary health care settings. Women’s sexual health is a fundamental human right and an essential component of well-being and quality of life. In the context of Primary Health Care, nurses play a strategic role in promoting, preventing, and addressing sexual health through structured consultations. However, significant gaps remain regarding the systematization of these actions, including the lack of specific clinical protocols and evidence-based guidelines. Historically, sexual health has been reduced to reproductive functions, neglecting dimensions such as pleasure, desire, identity, sexual dysfunctions, and diversity, which underscores the need to broaden care approaches and enhance clinical listening. This scoping review protocol aims to map and summarize available evidence on the actions that compose the nursing consultation in women’s sexual health in primary health care. The review will be conducted following the methodological guidance of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and reported according to the PRISMA-ScR checklist. The research question is based on the PCC framework (Population, Concept, Context), targeting women, nursing consultation in sexual health, and primary care. The search strategy will include controlled vocabulary (DeCS and MeSH) and free terms combined using Boolean operators. Databases to be searched include PubMed/MEDLINE, LILACS/BVS, Scopus, Web of Science, and CINAHL, as well as gray literature through Google Scholar and OSF. Eligible studies will include primary research with qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods designs, published between 2019 and 2024, in Portuguese, English, or Spanish. Study selection and data extraction will be carried out independently by two reviewers using Rayyan, with a third reviewer resolving any disagreements. Results will be presented thematically and descriptively using tables, charts, and the PRISMA-ScR flow diagram to support evidence-based clinical practice.
