POTENTIAL OF PLECTRANTHUS AMBOINICUS AS MOUTHWASH AND ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY: Scoping Review

The review will analyze studies evaluating the use of mouthwashes containing P. amboinicus in dental interventions, considering outcomes such as reductions in dental biofilm, bacterial plaque, gingivitis, and other oral health indicators. Data will be organized using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) instrument and complemented by bibliometric analyses conducted in R software. The primary goal is to synthesize the available scientific evidence, integrating qualitative and quantitative analyses to provide a comprehensive view of the topic, identifying gaps in the literature, and guiding future research. This study aims to contribute to the development of safe and effective herbal products in the field of oral health.
