ECHO Theory: A Framework for Consciousness and High-Functioning Autism

This paper introduces ECHO Theory (Emergent Consciousness through Hierarchical Oscillation), a novel model that conceptualizes consciousness as the product of recursive integration and hierarchical oscillation of informational states. Drawing from integrated information theory, quantum cognition, and neurocomputational principles, ECHO Theory proposes that disruptions in the fidelity of recursive cycles may underlie many experiential challenges seen in autism spectrum conditions.

Abstract

This paper introduces ECHO Theory (Emergent Consciousness through Hierarchical Oscillation), a novel model that conceptualizes consciousness as the product of recursive integration and hierarchical oscillation of informational states. Drawing from integrated information theory, quantum cognition, and neurocomputational principles, ECHO Theory proposes that disruptions in the fidelity of recursive cycles may underlie many experiential challenges seen in autism spectrum conditions.
