Going Along with an Authoritarian or Laissez-Faire Boss: Why We Pretend to Believe Fake News—and Think Our Peers Do Even More

This study (N=402) investigates how leadership style shapes perceptions of peer responses to a boss’s fake news views. Under both authoritarian and laissez-faire leadership, individuals believe their coworkers are more likely than themselves to agree.
