Prevalence of obstruction sites detected during drug-induced sleep endoscopy in pediatric populations: a systematic review
Obstructive sleep-disordered breathing can lead to severe health consequences, including cardiovascular and neurocognitive impairments. Despite the use of pediatric drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) to identify obstruction sites, no study has systematically synthesized the variation of these sites across childhood and different pediatric health conditions. The objective of this systematic review is to establish the prevalence of obstruction sites identified during DISE in pediatric populations. It will categorize these findings by the age groups of the children and the diverse conditions they present.
