Effects of resistance training as a treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis, a systematic review and meta-analysis
Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) often suffer from rheumatoid cachexia (muscle wasting), chronic inflammation, and decreased exercise capacity. Structured resistance exercise is an affordable yet effective way to mitigate these patients’ symptoms and modulate some of the disease manifestations. This study evaluated the current literature on resistance exercise interventions in our population.
