Scoping Review Protocol to investigate the Experiences of intimate partner Violence among Black Minoritised Women and Children Victims/Survivals Living in the UK and How DV specialist support them to thrive

The scoping review focused on the transition of Black women and children from victims and survivors of domestic violence to thriving individuals. The term "survivor" tends to emphasise immediate liberation from abuse, overlooking the longer-term recovery process. In contrast, the concept of "Thrivership" addresses these issues by implying that thriving individuals are flourishing or prospering. Thriving, in this context, goes beyond the absence of problems, signifying overall good health and well-being. This scoping review protocol aims to systematically map the existing literature on the lived experiences of intimate partner violence within this demographic. By identifying key themes, gaps, and areas for future research, this study seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of the unique challenges faced by Black women and children who experience Intimate partner violence and the support mechanisms that facilitate thriving in this demographic. The protocol has been developed following rigorous methodological standards to ensure comprehensive coverage and reliability. It includes a detailed search strategy, inclusion and exclusion criteria, data extraction methods, and plans for data synthesis.
