<div class="ewa-rteLine" style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14.6667px; white-space-collapse: preserve; background-color: #ffffff;">This thesis explores the role journalism plays in the relationship between art and community. The</div> <div class="ewa-rteLine" style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14.6667px; white-space-collapse: preserve; background-color: #ffffff;">top subjects explored included the importance of and need to increase community engagement</div> <div class="ewa-rteLine" style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14.6667px; white-space-collapse: preserve; background-color: #ffffff;">with art and artists, the value news exposure can have to widen artists’ audience, the efforts that</div> <div class="ewa-rteLine" style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14.6667px; white-space-collapse: preserve; background-color: #ffffff;">alternative news sources like independent newspapers have made to consistently and robustly</div> <div class="ewa-rteLine" style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14.6667px; white-space-collapse: preserve; background-color: #ffffff;">cover the arts, and the expectations of journalists and newsrooms to dig deeper into their arts</div> <div class="ewa-rteLine" style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14.6667px; white-space-collapse: preserve; background-color: #ffffff;">coverage beyond surface-level profile stories.
