Barca, A., Liverano, G. & Romeo, F.P. (2025). "Sustainability, affectivity and community engagement to prevent school drop-outs and cultivate hopeful planning". Open Journal of Humanities, 19: 1-27
The current Italian school context is characterised by a growing disengagement of young people, cognitive apathy and educational alienation, aggravated by systemic inequalities and digital hyperstimulation. To counter this trend, a rethinking of education is needed based on three strategic axes: the culture of affectivity, which favours motivation and inclusion; the leadership of teacher sustainability, mediated by artificial intelligence for personalised teaching in line with the 2030 Agenda; and Service Learning, which integrates learning and active citizenship. This synergy transforms the school into a resilient ecosystem, capable of promoting equity and combatting early school leaving.
