The Magnetic Spine of Becoming: From Inert Matter to Planetary Consciousness

The Magnetic Spine of Becoming: From Inert Matter to Planetary Consciousness presents a transdisciplinary framework that reinterprets magnetism as a foundational semantic structure across scales—from atomic residues and organic life to planetary biospheres. Rather than treating magnetic fields as secondary effects of physics, this work posits them as active agents in stabilizing coherence, resisting entropy, and anchoring meaning in living and non-living systems alike. By introducing concepts such as entropic anchoring, bio-semantic locks, and the Magnetic–Semantic Life Index (MSLI), this paper argues for a new, field-based ontology of life. This approach has implications for exobiology, AI ethics, planetary science, and the classification of non-traditional life forms. Magnetism, in this view, becomes the invisible grammar of becoming—a structural and semantic spine connecting all coherent matter across time.
