Clinical Guideline for Women's Health Physiotherapy: Management of Non-Neurogenic Stress Urinary Incontinence

The objective of this study is to develop a Brazilian clinical guideline on the physiotherapeutic treatment of women with stress urinary incontinence (SUI). This will be a multicenter study and will follow the recommendations of the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research & Evaluation (AGREE) Instrument Version II. To develop the clinical guideline, four phases will be conducted: Phase 1. Identification of clinical questions raised by Brazilian physiotherapists regarding the physiotherapeutic treatment of non-neurogenic SUI; Phase 2. Literature search and extraction of the scientific evidence available for the clinical questions developed in Phase 1; Phase 3. Definition of the strength of the recommendations based on the evidence, with the participation of healthcare professionals working in Women's Health, managers, and women with urinary incontinence, specifically regarding the physiotherapeutic treatment of non-neurogenic SUI; Phase 4. Dissemination of the Brazilian Clinical Guideline on the physiotherapeutic treatment of non-neurogenic SUI. The Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) system will be used to assess the certainty of the evidence and the strength of the recommendations
