Associations Between Documented Ethical Concerns and Neurosurgical Candidacy Decisions: An Observational Cohort Study of Patient Management Conferences
This project explored how structured neuroethics documentation and clinical-demographic variables are associated with two distinct outcomes in elective neurosurgical evaluation: multidisciplinary candidacy decisions rendered during Patient Management Conferences (PMCs), and subsequent surgical receipt. Using multinomial and binary logistic regression frameworks, we modeled observed associations between ethical flag burden, diagnosis or planned surgery type, and each outcome.
