Ready, Check, Go! Integrating a Research Team Checkpoint Tracker into an Evidence Synthesis Services Communication Flow
An emphasis on research and scholarship has become paramount for medical students aspiring to secure residency positions. This can quickly lead to a higher volume of projects and subsequently multiple staggered timelines for librarians and faculty mentors coordinating Evidence Synthesis projects. Collaborations between the librarian, faculty, and student(s) leaves the Research Team open to the undesired potential for communication gaps regarding timelines, project workflow, and team roles at key points of each Scoping or Systematic Review. This presentation explores the addition of an internal project status tracker to a department’s Evidence Synthesis Service which provides an opt-in guidance tool with project outlines and team checkpoints for faculty and students to utilize as they take their projects from research question conception to polished article publication.
