Hernandez‑Walter Polygonal Trisection Theorem

The Hernandez–Walter Polygonal Trisection Theorem (HWPTT) is a newly discovered geometric theorem that generalizes Marion Walter’s triangle trisection result to all non-triangle regular polygons. It states that if each side of a regular n-gon is trisected and lines are drawn from each trisection point to the polygon’s centroid, the resulting inner polygon has a fixed area ratio given by a formula. HWPTT is the first known closed-form relationship of this kind for polygons beyond triangles, confirmed through analytical proof and empirical testing. It has potential applications in geometry, design, computational modeling, and spatial optimization.
