The effectiveness of topical lidocaine for pain management during perineal suturing
This project is a systematic review. The aim of the review is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of topical lidocaine for pain management during perineal suturing after vaginal birth. The review will identify, appraise, and synthesize evidence from studies comparing topical lidocaine (in any form) to other pain management strategies or placebo, focusing on outcomes such as pain relief, need for additional analgesia, adverse effects, and women satisfaction. The goal is to inform clinical practice and improve pain management for women undergoing perineal repair.
