Book of Abstracts of the 14th International Temperate Reefs Symposium (ITRS 2025). 1-5 July 2025, Brest, France
The International Temperate Reefs Symposium (ITRS) is the premier conference for marine scientists with a focus on temperate hard-bottom habitats. The scope is broad and captures natural rocky reefs, man-made structures and biogenic surfaces. Ecology is a key focus, but the meeting also caters for other scientific disciplines relevant to temperate reef biology including biogeochemistry, genetics, oceanography, remote sensing, biogeography and management, not to mention the vast array of interdisciplinary links. The 14th edition was organised in Brest from 1 to 5 July 2025 by Ifremer with CNRS/Sorbonne Université (Station Biologique de Roscoff), UBO (Université Bretagne Occidentale), and PatriNat (Centre d'expertise et de données sur la nature). It brought together nearly 400 scientists from 29 countries spread across 5 continents.
