Electrochemical\nTrifluoromethylthiolation/Cyclization\nof <i>N</i>‑Arylacrylamides with AgSCF<sub>3</sub>: Access to SCF<sub>3</sub>‑Containing Oxindoles

An\nenvironmentally friendly electrochemical strategy for the synthesis\nof SCF<sub>3</sub>-containing oxindoles was developed. This electrochemical\ntransformation was accomplished through a cascade trifluoromethylthiolation/cyclization\nof <i>N</i>-acrylamides with AgSCF<sub>3</sub>, obviating\nthe requirement for external oxidants. A variety of functional groups\nwere well tolerated in this transformation.
