LiF in Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells: Dipole or\nDoping?

The functions and mechanisms of thermally\nevaporated lithium fluoride,\nwidely acknowledged for its role in passivating the perovskite surface\nas a dipole interlayer, remain not fully elucidated. This work reveals\nthe beneficial effects of LiF originating from interstitial incorporation\nof lithium cations in the underlying perovskite layer.

Abstract

The functions and mechanisms of thermally\nevaporated lithium fluoride,\nwidely acknowledged for its role in passivating the perovskite surface\nas a dipole interlayer, remain not fully elucidated. This work reveals\nthe beneficial effects of LiF originating from interstitial incorporation\nof lithium cations in the underlying perovskite layer.
