A new species, Fragariocoptes tridentatae sp. nov., and a new eriophyoid mite record (Acari: Acariformes: Eriophyoidea) from Greenland

A new eriophyoid mite species, Fragariocoptes tridentatae sp. nov. (Acari: Eriophyoidea: Phytoptidae), is described and illustrated from mites causing conspicuous galls on Sibbaldia tridentata (Rosaceae) collected in southern Greenland. The first occurrence of Aceria anceps (Nalepa) found on Veronica fruticans (Plantaginaceae) is reported, also from Greenland. Detailed supplementary morphological description and illustration of the female and descriptions of male and nymph are given.
