The content of heavy metals in dust aerosols of Northern Tajikistan

\nThe concentrations of heavy metals in the form of free elements or oxides, as well as arsenic in samples of atmospheric aerosols, collected in northern Tajikistan in the period from 2013 to 2019, are determined. Local sources of heavy metals, mainly anthropogenic (motor vehicles, metallurgical industrial plants, open tailing dumps, etc.) in origin, are discussed. It is accepted that metals of natural origin usually have low coefficients of variation, while metals associated with anthropogenic sources are characterized by high CVs and reflect a heterogeneous distribution of concentrations.\n
