Circularly Polarized\nPhotodetectors Based on Chiral\nMoire Stacking Films of Electrospun ZnO Nanowires
Chiral semiconductors, with their distinct photoelectric\nresponses\nto left- and right-handed circularly polarized light (CPL), are emerging\nas promising candidates for chiroptical sensing applications. This\ntrend underscores the need to develop chiroptical photoelectric films\nwith tunable handedness. In this study, we report the preparation\nof parallel-aligned ZnO nanowires (NWs) through oriented electrospinning\nand subsequent pyrolysis of precursor NWs. Chiral Moiré stacking\nfilms were created by stacking ZnO NWs with a controlled left-/right-handed\nrotation angle between successive layers. The film structural parameters\nand circular dichroism (CD) spectra were optimized. CPL photodetectors\nwere developed using these chiroptical ZnO NW films and their hybridization\nwith CsPbBr3 perovskite. The photodetector performance\nwas investigated with a focus on responsivity (<i>R</i>),\nphotodetectivity (<i>D</i>*), and the photocurrent asymmetry\nfactor (<i>g</i>Iph). Furthermore, discussion\non the chiroptical and optoelectronic mechanisms intrinsic to these\ndevices was conducted, shedding light on their potential for advanced\nCPL photodetection applications.
