Abstract

The design and development of a catalyst\nfor comprehensive water\nsplitting hold significant importance in sustainable energy generation.\nHerein, a novel bifunctional catalyst, CoMoP/NNMO@NC, for overall\nwater splitting was fabricated through interfacial engineering on\na NiMoO4-decorated polyester textile. The CoMoP/NNMO@NC\ndemonstrated low overpotentials of 37 and 232 mV at 10 mA·cm–2 for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen\nevolution reaction (OER) in 1 M KOH, respectively. The flower-like\nNiMoO4 acted as both a support and Mo source that underwent\nsurface remodeling during the redox process and enhanced the catalytic\nactivities. Consequently, a low cell voltage of 1.54 V at 10 mA·cm–2 for overall water splitting with excellent stability\nwas achieved based on the CoMoP/NNMO@NC-assembled electrolyzer.
