Cyano-Fluorosulfonylation\nof Unactivated Alkenes by\nPhotoredox and Copper Dual Catalysis
Both\nfluorosulfonyl and cyano groups are important structural motifs\nin bioactive molecules. Herein, we report a new difunctionalization\nreaction of alkenes based on fluorosulfonyl radicals, which allows\nfor the introduction of the fluorosulfonyl and cyano groups into unactivated\nalkenes in one step. This transformation is enabled by merging photoredox\nand copper catalysis, featuring visible light catalysis, mild conditions,\nand good functional group tolerance. Further transformation of products\nvia SuFEx reactions is also demonstrated.
